There are so many twists and turn I just didn’t see coming. Now getting into the contents of this book. It made me really feel for each of the characters and see what their purpose was in the book. The other characters in this book also had their own back stories and motives which I think was explained in a really nice way. Of course my favorite side of Darby was the badass side which definitely came into play as the novel progress. I appreciated the different perspectives she thought about when she realized that a child was kidnapped when she stopped at this rest stop and if it was a good idea to help this child or pretend she didn’t see her and call the authorities later. I loved seeing the vulnerable side of her who was realizing that she she should have said certain things to her mom before she left because now she’s dying from cancer, and she might not be able to make it home in time to apologize to her. She was human and had her own personal and moral dilemmas which she faced. She was not the “perfect” girl in any sense. Darby was very well developed and such an intricate character. I’m so glad I did! This book was phenomenal! Let’s start with the characters.

I picked this book up because of all the hype I saw around it on Booktube. My Thoughts: Okay before I start this review, I’m not a huge thriller person.
